I use the CAD U1 usb mike. Really good for vocals ,instruments and podcasts.
It should be available from musicwonderland.co.uk for £30. 50 for uk users. Postage would be more for U.S or other users.
I have found that the skype type of "line in " mikes are only useful for quick tests.
