I'm a refugee from CD Spin Doctor, which no longer works for Macs using the Leopard operating system. Fortunately, Audacity is miles ahead.
I use it to record old cassettes and vinyl onto CD. But with all the features in Audacity, I can't find a way to boost the treble on recordings that are too bass-heavy. CD Spin Doctor featured a Sound Enhancer with an Exciter that allowed treble boost.
I've checked on Google for boosting the treble in Audacity. People refer to Equalizatiion in the Effects menu, but I've had no luck getting a brighter sound.
Is there a plugin available? Or will Audacity eventually include a Treble boost alongside its bass boost?
If you go to vstplanet.com they have all types of effects that you load in to the "plug-Ins" folder. What you might want is called exciters. You can google that as well. But be sure they are vst's.
