Removing the sound of a phone ringing

I am fairly new to Audacity but i am slowly finding my way around it after a demo at our club. However, i recorded a narration which i do not think would sound quiet the same if i recorded it again as it was quiet emotional, but there was a phone ringing in the background!!
I've tried removing some of the rings but some of them are bang slap under my voice, which i cannot delete.
Any suggestions as to how to removed these ringing phone noises without losing my voice?
I think its not possible really but someone who's more expert may know.
