hi monica use anything BUT the sound mapper...I also had a lot of problems recording from a cassette to a computer and kept being told ti use line in but it wouldn't give me the preference so I worked out that I needed to put the lead in the BLUE hole which is line in and then evrything was great. probably more than you need... but it may help later.Also there is a stack of stuff on the internet..Good Luck Jann
